Who is Eligible?

You are welcome to join the Kenya Association of Private Hospitals (KAPH) if you are a private hospital, a nursing home or a clinic, fully registered and licensed by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC)

Benefits of Becoming a member

  1. Negotiates for improved working conditions for private hospitals.
  2. Negotiate for equal representation when it comes to government health projects. E.g. UHC, NHIF and other healthcare committees.
  3. Direct representation in the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council through our chairman, who seats at the KMPDC Board as the private sector representative.
  4. Access and representation at NHIF through our quarterly consultative meetings with the CEO and managers.
  5. Partnerships and linkages with different stakeholders in the different sectors which include financial, insurance etc.
  6. Receive advice on the proper guidelines, procedures and documentations needed when running a private facility.
  7. Receive regular updates on local and international policies in the medical world.
  8. Offers continuing profession development (CPD) through various publications, seminars and annual scientific conferences directly or indirectly through our partners.
  9. Protects and represents hospitals against unfair accusations and advocates for their interests.
  10. Networking opportunities with other members.
  11. Access to advertising through our social media platforms and networks.
  12. Access to our consultative WhatsApp group, where members network, deliberate and exchange ideas.
  13. Access to the executive and management team when in need of assistance.

Membership fees

Those who qualify to join are to pay full membership fee of Ksh 10,000, renewable every year.
